Sponsorship at Rock Island Futbol
Where champions are born...
The Rock Island Futbol Club was created with the goal of providing an opportunity for any Rock Island and surrounding area kids to play the sport they love. Your sponsorship support is important because you are helping to keep our fees low, and therefore more affordable, to more Quad City area families.
Soccer's popularity in Europe and South America already makes it one of the most popular and best-attended sports in the world. This popularity has found its way to America where World Soccer and U.S. Pro Soccer games are now televised nationally.
The game delivers a high level of excitement and requires skill and energy from its players. Young players are drawn to the challenge and fun of the game. The quality of the Club's organization, development of coaches, and player skills have earned the Rock Island Futbol Club respect in just their first year among the existing programs in Quad City area.
In addition to skill development, Club players reap the lifelong benefits of aerobic conditioning, increased self esteem and an understanding of "teamwork".

Facilities and Administration
Since the Rock Island Futbol Club does not own its own fields, we need to lease other facilities from local communities and businesses. We also have insurance, professional and general administrative expenses. -
Training and Dues
The Rock Island Futbol Club belongs to the regional sanctioning organization, ILLOWA, which is part of a chain of organizations that ultimately ends with the national body, United States Youth Soccer Federation (USYSF). This affiliation gives the Club access to training material, clinics and courses for coaches and players. There are costs incurred for our membership as well as participation. Sometimes these costs include facilities rental for such programs as coaching license classes or registration fees for participants. Clinics are regularly offered and encouraged for all coaches. Training is required for mid to upper level coaches. Various levels of training are available for coaching licenses in order to qualify them for different levels of play. This enables the Club to offer a high standard of instruction to our players.
-
Keeping Participation Costs Low
Our main goal is to keep the sport affordable for the players. Although the cost per season is competitive with other sports in our region, soccer is a two season sport. This makes soccer more expensive to a family on an annual basis. If a family has more than two players, their cost could be in the hundreds of dollars annually. Our corporate sponsors make an enormous contribution to the youth of our communities by helping us keep soccer an affordable sport.
Summary Of How Your Sponsorship Investment Is Utilized:
- Keeps participation costs affordable for players' families.
- Pays for field rehabilitation.
- Pays for training and affiliation with ILLOWA and IYSA.
- Pays for needed improvements to our facilities.
- Through all of the above, your sponsorship enables the Club to provide a top quality program to its players that builds high levels of skill and is fun.
